Rome street photography: make great photos in the heart of the city

rome street photography

Rome is a city full of charm and contradictions. Ancient and modern blend together on every corner of its streets, creating a magical and unique picture. This is precisely why Rome is also one of the most visited and photographed capitals in the world, the perfect location to capture emotions and unforgettable moments. It’s no surprise that many tourists decide to book a photoshoot or a private photo tour. In fact, these are two experiences through which you can explore and fully get to know Rome from a different perspective. Additionally, some tourists who decide to settle in Rome for study or longer vacation periods often opt for genuine professional photography courses.

Street photography workshop Rome: the best way to document your travel

These workshops are designed for those who are passionate about photography and want to learn the main techniques for using a professional camera. Naturally, you can find courses specialized in portrait photography and street photography. The latter is particularly suitable for tourists and foreigners residing in Italy who wish to improve their photographic skills and take memorable shots in the heart of Rome. It’s a way to learn to take professional photos while also deeply exploring the eternal city.

My courses

For example, I organize street photography workshops for tourists and foreign students who want to improve their photographic technique and experience the most beautiful neighborhoods of the city in a unique way. We’ll discover the heart of Rome while I give you a tutorial on photography. I will provide photographic tips as we frame fascinating areas. So bring an enthusiastic desire to learn. We will discover the Trastevere area, a bohemian spirit of Rome. We will walk the tour in a circle, starting from S. Maria Square, passing by Castel Sant’Angelo, Campo dei Fiori, where a local farmer’s market is shown, Piazza Navona, surrounded by baroque palaces, and ending with a walk to the Pantheon, the most well-preserved temple in Rome. Composition will be the center of our conversation.

We will photograph daily life that takes place among the streets, where a very particular light always falls, a play of shadows and lights, creating “chiaro/scuro” effects just like in Caravaggio’s works. You will have the option to choose between a 2-hour and a 4-hour workshop. If you want to know more or want to purchase a street photography course in Rome, feel free to write to me. I will be happy to respond!
